Dr. Niousha Saghafi is a board certified orthodontist who takes great pleasure in her work. With an unwavering passion for orthodontics, Dr. Saghafi has dedicated her life to helping patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles while building meaningful connections with both her team and her patients. Having undergone orthodontic treatment at a young age herself, Dr. Saghafi is familiar with how much a beautiful smile can positively impact people's lives.

A Southern California native, Dr. Saghafi pursued her love of science and medicine at UC San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. This academic foundation, combined with her natural affinity for art and helping others, led her to the field of dentistry.

Dr. Saghafi went on to attend dental school at the University of California, San Francisco where she excelled in her dental studies and developed a strong foundation in all aspects of dentistry. After earning her dental degree, she pursued her dream of becoming an orthodontist by completing a rigorous residency program at the University of Washington in Seattle. During her time there, she received extensive training in the latest orthodontic techniques and procedures working with a diverse patient population, including children, teens, and adults.

Following her residency, Dr. Saghafi began her orthodontic career in the SF Bay Area, where she has since helped countless patients achieve stunning smiles. Committed to offering the highest standard of care, she completed the rigorous examination process to obtain her board certification in orthodontics. She keeps herself up-to-date with the latest advances in orthodontic treatment through continuing education seminars and conferences.

When she is not at work, Dr. Saghafi cherishes spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She loves cooking and baking and is always experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She also enjoys traveling, gardening, and reading. In her leisure time, she can often be found tending to her plants, exploring new destinations, or curled up with a good book.

I am truly blessed to be an orthodontist. What a joy it is to go to work every day, knowing I can change someone’s life for the better. I look forward to every visit with each patient: that’s when I get to see the improvement in my patient’s smile and strengthen our relationship.

I was drawn to oral health care early, as a result of my visits to my pediatric dentist. Dr. Haeberlein and his staff never failed to provide a fun, caring, and supportive environment. I was inspired to become an orthodontist who was just as altruistic, compassionate, and thoughtful.

As an orthodontist, I am passionate about providing individualized care to my patients. Each comes in with a unique set of issues and different needs. My job is to figure out what those needs are and address them in a way that is most suited to my patient.

I have completed special, advanced training in challenging cases, such as impacted canines, patients with significant jaw discrepancies, and two-phase treatment for early arch development. I also have a special interest in sleep-disordered breathing, an area of increasing concern, especially for adolescents.

Dr. Le is a firm believer that education should not end when one graduates from school. As a healthcare provider, she knows it is her duty to provide the highest-quality of care to her patients and, in order to do so, she must continually expand her knowledge and skill sets.

Since finishing her master’s degree, Dr. Le has completed many hours of continuing orthodontic education. She has attended numerous conferences, including the Invisalign® Summit, Damon™ Forum, and the Dolphin Meeting.

Additionally, Dr. Le is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. She is also involved in interdisciplinary study clubs, which bring together dentists and oral healthcare specialists to collaboratively learn and share knowledge.

BEYOND THE PRACTICE

Dr. Le grew up in San Francisco and returned to the Bay Area after completing her post-graduate studies in Florida. She lives with her husband Lam and their two dogs, Duncan and Reeses who love to play fetch and take long walks. Outside of playing with pups, Dr. Le loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys cooking and baking, traveling, hiking, and fitness.
